Transition Fittings

DETAILS:
Polyethylene fittings are made from medium density polyethylene pipe (MDPE) which is a 2406/2708 resin; this is designed for gas distribution and gas services. They can also be made from a high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) which is a PE100/PE4710 resin; this is used for gas gathering, water and sewer lines.

Inside Diameter Transition Fitting
Transition service risers are used to carry out the transition from plastic pipe below grade to steel pipe above grade. Since the steel pipe is the gas carrier below grade, an anode is supplied to provide cathodic protection and prevent corrosion.

WATER FITTINGS

- flange joint can be butt fused to pipe
- serrated sealing surface for better gasket retention
- steel back-up ring provides uniform pressure over
the entire sealing surface to prevent leaking - Back-up ring is fitted to the adapter before fusion,
so external fusion bead removal is not required - Available in 2” – 24”, all SDR’s
